Krivoy Rog (Kryvyi Rih) Ukraine city history

Krivoy Rog city was founded in 17th century by Cossacks. The first official mention was May 8, 1775. In 1881 the Krivoy Rog city was developing quickly because of huge iron ore mining. During Civil war Krivoy Rog was one of the centers of Nestor Makhno rebellion.
